New to 3D printing?

You don't need a 3D printer, or even a 3D file.

Find a free design online, upload it to ORB., and we print it and deliver it to you in Singapore. Here's everything you need to know, in four steps.

The basics

What is 3D printing?

A 3D printer turns a digital 3D file into a real object by drawing thin lines of plastic, one layer on top of the next. ORB. runs the printers, so all you need is the file.

  • Replacement knobs, clips and brackets
  • Hooks and wall mounts

Get a 3D file

Browse one of these free model libraries, search for what you want (try "phone stand" or "cable organiser"), and download the file.

Tips for picking a model

  • Download the STL or 3MF file. Those are the two formats ORB. accepts.
  • Prefer models with photos from people who have printed them.
  • Some sites ask you to create a free account before you can download.
  • Check the licence. Most free models are fine for personal use, but many don't allow selling the prints.

Common questions

Can I get a model I downloaded for free printed?

Usually, yes, for your own personal use. Every model page shows a licence; check it before ordering. Many free models don't allow selling the printed copies. By placing an order you confirm you have the right to have the design printed.

The model has several files. Which do I download?

Multiple files are usually separate parts of the same object. Download all the parts you need and upload them together. ORB. quotes each part and you can set quantities per part.

How much will it cost?

It depends on the size of the model and the material. Upload the file to see the exact price in about 30 seconds, or check the Pricing page for typical ranges.

Do I need to know anything about 3D printers?

No. ORB. handles the printer settings, printing and quality checks. You only choose the material, quantity and delivery.

What if my model is bigger than 25.6 cm?

Large models can often be scaled down or printed in pieces. Email hello@orb.sg with the model link and we'll tell you what's possible.

ORB. is not affiliated with MakerWorld, Printables or Thingiverse, and does not own, sell or distribute the models shown or linked here. All designs belong to their respective creators. Check each model's licence before ordering; by placing an order you confirm you have the right to have the design printed (see Terms).
